REMA TIP TOP Mackay stocks a range of FRAS conveyor belting and conveyor products, perfectly equipped to handle the demands of the Queensland coal market. This includes Rema Tip Top’s Flame Tech range of PVG belts, which is specifically designed for use in underground Coal. All of REMA TIP TOP’s FRAS-rated belting undergoes stringent QC testing and meets the required standards.
WEARTECH belt with an M Grade cover is recognised as a general-purpose compound with strong tensile strength and resistance to cuts, gouges and abrasion, selected to suit the application across a range of cover types.
REMA TIP TOP Mackay has over 22 service personnel. The team is comprised of 13 belt splicers, fitters, boilermakers and electricians to ensure we are always fully staffed for scheduled maintenance and unexpected downtime.
Refurbishing used belting can reduce belt purchase costs, particularly in underground environments where belt usage windows can be as little as twelve months. The used belt is mapped, the repairable belt is repaired and spliced to the required length, the clips are installed, and then the belt is wrapped and transported back to the site, ready for installation. The process, belt grade, length, and clip type can be tailored to site requirements, and lead times can be reduced to as little as a few days.
Refurbishing an existing pulley reduces lead times and cost without sacrificing reliability. Services include strip, inspect and re-lag to specification, post-strip assessment and reporting, root cause failure analysis, shell and shaft machining, non-destructive testing, modification and upgrade options, tailored solutions for specific environments, lagging options, painting, transport and storage frames, and quality control reporting.
