REMA TIP TOP delivers over 15 years of service excellence

REMA TIP TOP Beresfield has held the service contract for a major NSW Coal-Fired Power Generator for over 15 years. Unlike REMA TIP TOP’s core offering which focuses on conveyor installation, maintenance and repair, the Beresfield team is fully responsible for operating the generator’s rail unloading operations.

The specialist team is comprised of 15 people in total: 1 manager, 7 permanent staff and 7 casual staff. The team successfully unloads over 4.75 million tonnes of coal from across NSW, including Mt Pleasant, Mt Arthur, Bengalla, Bulga, Mangoola and Mt Owen. Over 1,100 trains are unloaded each year, with an average of 23 per week.

The contract requires REMA TIP TOP to adhere to strict key performance indicators including:

• No lost time injuries
• No interruptions to the power station operations
• 100% availability for train unloading at all times
• All coal trains to be unloaded within 90 minutes
• Reporting of any train defects or incidents within 4 hours, with no exception

These stringent key performance indicators are just some of the requirements that REMA TIP TOP has continuously adhered to in order to hold the service contract continuously for over 15 years.”
